One a Side Note, SVDP Has a Homeless Soccer Team!!

Lungs and legs are getting stronger as Spring training has hit its 4th month in our Homeless Soccer League. Graduation of Cohort 22

Congratulations to these Elite 8 who graduated at this past SVdP Graduation Ceremony. Michael LeBlanc started one of our very best graduations to date with an inspiring speech about breaking through the limitations we've set for ourselves and the rest is delicious final culinary project history. Here are some pictures of that meal along with the graduates who are on a steeper angle of trajectory that ever before. 7 of 9 total graduates are *already* employed. We are very, very proud and inspired. EDITOR'S NOTE: food photos were taken after the judges demoralized each dish. Apologies for missing the "before" photos.

Panorama

Some amazing artwork is created in Oakland, especially in the downtown area. Across the street from the Free Dining Room lies a handful of artist studios and down the block is this wonderful panorama, which speaks for itself. Enjoy.
